Today started with van ride to the town of Balfour where we boarded a ferry to cross the lake. I’ve been on both larger and smaller ferries, but never on a bicycle. We crossed the narrow part of the lake, but that was still a 35 minute trip. The lake is 64 miles long, after all.

After climbing the far side of the shore we had a long ride with lots of rolling climbs to the town of Creston, BC. On the way we stopped for root beer floats at a store which opened just for us, having closed for the season. Ice cream is always good on the bike.

From there it was on to Creston, dinner at a golf course, and a few more Coffee Crisps.
