Today was the first rest day of the tour. The past few days saw a lot of climbing, and the 6900′ elevation of Flagstaff takes some time to acclimate to. So today we get recharged. The electronics get charged every day, but less so the riders. The day started with breakfast while washing clothes, bike cleaning while drying clothes, and then lazing. Lunch came next, followed by a baseball nap. Then dinner in town at a local brewpub and pizzeria while watching the Cardinals thump the Red Sox.

Then blogging and bedtime. I appreciate all the comments and support. So far the blog has been viewed almost 2500 times by 470 visitors, with 1 like. Visitors have come from the US, the UK, Israel, Germany, Canada, Ireland, China, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Taiwan, Sweden, Japan, India, Mexico, France, the Netherlands, and South Korea. Given how many people I know in some of those places (Uzbekistan?) I suspect some of the visitors are bots.
Tomorrow it’s 96 miles of mostly downhill riding on I-40 through Winslow, Arizona to Holbrook.
