Today was a shorter day, 64 miles due east across Kansas. Again the weather was good with mostly crosswinds and temperatures not too hot. We passed the small town of Chase, the town of Lyons (pronounced Lions), and wound up in McPherson.

McPherson and neighboring Conway are actually home to huge underground petroleum product storage in salt cavities. More of the underappreciated industry of Kansas. https://www.williams.com/2021/06/04/salt-of-the-earth-ngl-storage-in-conway-supports-natural-gas-reliability/
Dinner at Applebee’s, another milkshake at Braum’s, and now it’s bedtime. Tomorrow we’re on to Emporia for a rest day.
