The camera failed to record any of my photos today. I didn’t take any good ones, anyway. Every morning we go over the day’s highlights and the locations of the stops. I do have a picture of the white board.

Pretty exciting, huh?
As you can see it was a long day, 101 miles, with a big gradual hill at the beginning and a big steep hill at the end. There was a lot of open country in between. We came within 12 miles of the Canadian border. At the bottom of the last descent I saw what I’m sure was a wolf on the road. As soon as it saw me it scampered up the hillside so I didn’t even try to get a picture. There were also several cows sitting on the side of the road, but they didn’t show any interest in me.
Meanwhile, at home my niece Lindsay and her husband had their first child, a daughter named Juno Rae. They all went home from the hospital today exhausted but in good spirits.
Tomorrow will be the longest ride yet for me at about 120 miles. After that there is a day of rest in Sandpoint, Idaho.
