Today started with a long slow climb up Colville Hill (pronounced CULL-ville). Much to our chagrin, it was a chilly 46 degrees with a steady light rain. By the time we got to the first stop, about halfway up, we were all cold and soaked. It was an otherwise pretty stop at Crystal Falls. After finishing the climb we had a lovely, albeit chilly descent (since we were travelling 25 mph while soaking wet).

Once we got to the bottom it stopped raining and we had a long flat ride along Pend Orielle Lake. We all had to ride in the van for a few miles through the Kalispel reservation because of many free range Rotweilers.

We finally entered Idaho at Newport, where the rain resumed. We made the unanimous decision to call it a day, riding the van to the hotel in Sandpoint, Idaho. Not the greatest day of riding ever, but not the worst.
