Riding across the desert puts things in perspective. On US Highway 60 in Arizona it’s one-point perspective. Today was the longest ride of the whole trip, 115 miles from Blythe, CA to Wickenburg, AZ. It was hard, but we had another good tailwind and a high temperature in the 80s, which is cool for the desert.
The first part of the ride included crossing the Colorado river into Arizona and riding the 10. This meant more flats, of course.

Lisa and Lee are on the tour from Portland, Maine. They coordinate their outfits but insist that’s all.

Vincenzo is here from Italy via London. He can be with us only as far as Albuquerque.

Tomorrow is the hardest climb of the trip as we go to Prescott, AZ.
